The Process

What it actually looks like to work with the atelier, week by week.

Week 0

The first conversation

An hour over coffee or video. We listen more than we talk. By the end we will know whether the studio is the right fit for your event.

Weeks 1–3

Discovery & design direction

We send a discovery brief, you send images, songs, family stories. We return a written design direction — three to five pages of color, texture, food, music and feeling.

Weeks 4–10

Venue & vendor curation

Site visits, vendor shortlists, contract review. We negotiate on your behalf and brief each partner in writing.

Months 3–8

Design refinement

Tabletop trials, floral mock-ups, paper goods, menu tastings. The room starts to take shape in our studio first.

Final 6 weeks

Production planning

The full production schedule is built — a minute-by-minute timeline distributed to every vendor and approved by you.

Event week

On the ground

Rehearsals, deliveries, set-up. A team of three from the atelier is on site from morning through breakdown.

+2 weeks

The debrief

We close out vendor payments, return rentals, and send you a written reflection on what worked and what we’d do differently next time.
